The episode begins with Abhira taking her exam. Meanwhile, Armaan, worried that Ruhi might have revealed their secret, rushes home. Abhira continues writing her exam. On a video call, Ruhi talks to Suwarna and Surekha, explaining that some family members support her relationship with Armaan, and she believes everyone will come around once Dadisa is convinced. She asks them to persuade Manish. Just then, Manish overhears and asks what the discussion is about.
Armaan arrives home and urgently calls out for Ruhi. Manish insists that Ruhi has no future with Armaan and that they are not meant for each other. Suwarna intervenes, saying that Ruhi has already spoken to Vidya, who has given her consent, and urges Manish to do the same. Manish questions if Armaan is even willing to marry Ruhi.
Armaan confronts Ruhi, criticizing her impatience. Ruhi defends herself, stating that she had waited long enough and reiterating how important his family is to him. She reveals that she informed his mother to face her anger and took on the responsibility.
Armaan apologizes, but Ruhi rebuffs his apology, explaining that she has already discussed their relationship with his mother, who no longer opposes them. Armaan expresses frustration that she didn’t consult him first. Ruhi counters, saying he never made time for her and reminds him how Dadi was planning to send him to Delhi. She asserts that their relationship involves both of them and that he needs to support her.
Armaan mentions that Abhira had informed him about the situation, which prompts Ruhi to remember Abhira’s words. Meanwhile, Sanjay expresses a desire to arrange Charu’s marriage quickly. However, Charu resists and receives a scolding from Sanjay, who claims the children don’t appreciate the right things.
Charu retorts that he hasn’t done much for them and refuses the marriage. Angered, he insists she doesn’t deserve better and she storms off. Dadi remarks that Charu’s attitude hasn’t changed despite their anger and suggests getting rid of her. Sanjay shows some papers, indicating that Charu will be sent away that very day, which pleases him.
Back to Armaan, he declares that his marriage with Abhira was a sham, but still feels the need to inform her about his relationship with Ruhi.
Abhira packs her bags. Armaan approaches and says, “You shouldn’t leave right now.” She responds, “This relationship is over. By what right should I stay here?” He insists, “You are my wife; we are married on paper.
” She sarcastically retorts, “Wow, Armaan wins the caring husband award.” He asks her to stop it, adding, “I have to tell you about Ruhi and me.” She interrupts, “I don’t want to hear it.” He starts, “The truth is, Ruhi and I…” but they are called downstairs.
Downstairs, Dadi presents papers on a plate with rose petals. Armaan checks them—they are the annulment papers. Sanjay announces, “You both are no longer husband and wife.” Everyone is shocked. Sanjay then tells Abhira to pack his bags and leave.
Abhira retorts, “You’re eager to make me leave this house. I’m more eager to go. My bags are already packed, I’m leaving.” Armaan objects, “You won’t go.” She replies, “I’m not your wife.”
Madhav intervenes, “I request you, don’t leave now. Go in the morning. I promise I won’t ask you to stay.” Abhira nods, then taunts Dadi. Dadi says, “Armaan, remove Abhira’s mangalsutra.” Abhira says, “I can remove it myself.” Dadi insists, “You both have no relation now. You will remember how Armaan has discarded you like a thorn.”
Armaan tries to remove the mangalsutra but struggles. Dadi taunts, “Can’t you remove a mangalsutra?” Armaan replies, “I’m trying, it’s not coming off.” Dadi accuses him of stalling, “Is this your plan? Do it fast.” Armaan finally pulls it off, breaking it. Abhira is saddened and holds his hand.
She then asks him to wipe off her sindoor. The song “Hamesha Tumko Chaha” plays. Armaan does as she asks. Abhira goes to her room, recalling everything that has happened. She pours a jug of water over her head and cries, removing her bangles. Armaan, meanwhile, worries, “I couldn’t maintain a fake marriage; how will I handle a real one?”
