The scene unfolds with Abhira carefully tending to her bandage, a gesture of self-care after an injury. Armaan, arriving, exhibits concern for her well-being. Meanwhile, Manisha urges Dadi to eat, a subtle attempt to soothe familial tensions.
However, Vidya voices the underlying discomfort caused by Abhira’s return, hinting at feelings of humiliation. Amidst the sweltering heat, Ruhi proposes making refreshing Shikanji for the family, but Abhira’s attention is captured by music, prompting her to break into spontaneous dance.
Interrupting the moment, Ruhi attempts to address Abhira, only to be silenced by her. Undeterred, Abhira extends greetings to everyone, offering them the Shikanji she prepared. However, Dadi’s anger escalates, leading to a confrontation where she expresses her disdain for Abhira. Ruhi rebukes Abhira, emphasizing that their family isn’t inclined to forgive her transgressions easily.
As tensions simmer, Dadi communicates with Sanjay over the phone, hinting at an impatience that suggests a brewing conflict. Ruhi mentions the ongoing maintenance of the chimney, further complicating matters. Abhira’s attempt to enter the kitchen is thwarted by Ruhi, sparking a disagreement resolved through a game of rock-paper-scissors, resulting in Abhira’s exclusion from the kitchen.
Undeterred, Abhira resorts to cooking outside the house, where she encounters children from an NGO. Embracing her return, Abhira organizes a kachori party for the children, much to the surprise of Armaan and the others. Dadi, silently signaling to Sanjay, hints at further complications to come.
Armaan’s lips curve into a smile, catching Abhira’s attention. She watches him, noting the rare occurrence. Deciding to seize the moment, she prepares a smiley kachori and brings it over to him. Armaan accepts it graciously, but before he can enjoy it fully, Dadi’s call interrupts, summoning him for a serious conversation.
As the adults engage in tense discussions over divorce papers, Abhira shifts her focus to lifting the mood. She joins the lively dance with the children and attempts to comfort Charu, who seems distressed.
Dadi’s frustration with Abhira reaches a boiling point, expressing her intolerance for her presence in the household. Armaan, however, remains conflicted, acknowledging his father’s probable disapproval of such drastic measures. He suggests giving Abhira time to recuperate before making any decisions.
Despite Sanjay’s observation of Abhira’s seemingly normal behavior, Armaan feels the weight of contemplation. Meanwhile, Abhira notices Vidya’s reluctance to engage with her and attempts to bridge the gap by reaching out. However, Vidya’s reaction is harsh, rejecting Abhira’s gesture.
In the ensuing confrontation, Abhira speaks out, urging Vidya to let go of her anger and reconcile with their father. However, her words provoke Vidya’s wrath, leading to a physical altercation. Armaan intervenes, protecting Abhira and apologizing to Vidya for the misunderstanding.
Tensions rise as Abhira asserts her position in the family, claiming her right to speak on matters that affect them all. Armaan, however, feels threatened by her assertiveness and decides to assert his dominance by serving her with divorce papers, leaving Abhira devastated and in tears.
