The episode commences with Armaan questioning Madhav about his willingness to forsake his wife for Abhira. Madhav counters, suggesting that Armaan himself is abandoning his spouse due to family pressure. Tensions escalate as they debate their decisions. Madhav proposes bringing Vidya back home for three months, but Vidya refuses, expressing her inability to tolerate Abhira any longer. Ruhi interjects, revealing that she had prepared divorce papers for Vidya, having been aware of the truth behind their marriage, but chose not to disclose it as per Armaan’s request.
Vidya, realizing Ruhi’s dilemma, apologizes and embraces her, acknowledging her right to handle the situation. Ruhi reassures Vidya that Armaan will eventually move on, destined to find a companion who will stand by him through thick and thin. Madhav admonishes Vidya for losing touch with him due to her efforts to appease their family, highlighting the need for her to find the courage to confront their challenges. Amidst the turmoil, Vidya ponders whether to reconcile with Abhira, prompting Ruhi to reassure her that Armaan will find happiness elsewhere. Meanwhile, Dadi silently observes the unfolding drama.
Abhira mentions, “I finished the assignment last night; I just need to fill in the name.” Riya interrupts, suggesting, “If you’re planning to take a bath, grab some water.” Abhira agrees, and Riya heads off. Later, as Abhira prepares, she realizes her file is missing, wondering aloud about its whereabouts. Dadi urges Charu to eat, concerned for her health and medication. Expressing concern, Ruhi suggests seeking counseling for Charu. Sanjay objects, fearing exposure of their family’s secrets. Ruhi proposes her trusted counselor, but Charu rebuffs the idea, citing her own grief.
In another scene, Abhira suspects Riya of misplacing her assignment. Catching Riya exchanging the assignment for money, Abhira confronts her, outraged. Riya apologizes, citing financial struggles. Abhira asserts her integrity, opting to create a new assignment. Witnessing this, Ruhi sheds tears, consoled by Vidya. Ruhi reaffirms her commitment to her family’s well-being, declaring she’ll never abandon them.
Abhira is engrossed in writing the papers, which are swiftly carried away by the wind. She rushes to gather them as a man delivers the files to Armaan. As Armaan sifts through the papers, he notices handwriting resembling Abhira’s, but her name is crossed off. Frustrated, he dismisses the delivery. When questioned about the quality of the assignment, Armaan reveals it’s his wife’s work and demands it be removed.
Abhira apologizes and hurries to join him, overhearing other students discussing a strict examiner. She encounters Sanjay, who introduces himself as the examiner. He questions her about Charu and Dev, becoming irate and reprimanding her. Their exchange escalates, with Sanjay even disrespecting her assignment. He asserts his power, demanding Abhira comply with his unjust demands to pass, invoking her mother’s aspirations as leverage.
She settles into her seat, pulling out the file as he sinks back, prompting her to scold him. Rising to his feet, he delivers a cutting remark about Maasa’s decision to oust her, deeming her behavior disgusting. Abhira lashes back, criticizing both him and Dadisa for their lack of empathy towards the children, likening their home to a prison. Just then, Armaan intervenes, calling out to Abhira. Sanjay storms off in anger.
As Armaan and Abhira engage in a heated argument, he implores her to conduct herself with decorum. Abhira, however, defends her actions, pointing out the insults directed at her and her mother by his family. She questions whether the Poddars are as faultless as he believes. With a final admonition to Abhira to remain alone, Armaan departs, leaving her in tears.
Sanjay returns, declaring that Abhira’s misbehavior has barred her from returning home. Manisha queries whether Abhira acted without cause and if Sanjay attempted to reason with her. Armaan dismisses the significance of Sanjay’s efforts, asserting that Abhira must bear the consequences. Madhav interjects, suggesting that perhaps Sanjay’s actions instigated Abhira’s response. Armaan, feeling accused, defends his stance, citing his completion of Abhira’s assignment and assurance of her academic success.
